Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the ShipShax mobile application (“App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

ShipShax is a daily photo journaling application that allows you to capture one photo per day, organise photos into journals (Trip, Person, Monthly, Yearly), track daily streaks, and optionally order physical prints of your photos. The App is available as a free tier and a paid Premium subscription.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to use ShipShax. You may register with an email and password or via Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Free Tier and Premium Subscription

• Free tier: Limited to 2 active journals and a standard set of photo filters.
• ShipShax Premium: Unlocks unlimited journals, additional filters, and other premium features. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective terms.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's App Store / Play Store settings.
• We do not offer refunds for partially used subscription periods, except where required by law.

5. Photo Printing

ShipShax offers an optional photo printing service using print credits. By placing a print order you agree to provide an accurate delivery address and accept that print fulfilment is handled by a third-party provider. Print credits are non-refundable once used. Delivery times and availability may vary by region.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of the photos and content you upload to ShipShax. By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

You are solely responsible for the content you upload. You agree not to upload content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or that infringes the intellectual property rights of others. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or create derivative works of the App.
• Use automated tools to access or interact with the App.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or any software intended to harm our systems or users.

8. Intellectual Property

All App content, design, code, and branding — excluding user-uploaded photos — is owned by ShipShax and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from within the App. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. You use the App at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShipShax shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including loss of data or photos.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
